Big day today.

When we left, Pearl had 64,438 miles on her:

One long road trip later, the poor thing had this many:

(That figure includes a quick drive down to Virginia and back yesterday, but still.)

That’s over 9500 miles in just 6 weeks. Pearl is a champion! Bask in her glory:

This evening, Pearl finally got to stretch her legs again. She’s been patient with us for the past few days, but I could tell she was getting antsy on those long days sitting in the Motel 6 parking lot waiting for us to recover. After a long morning of saying one last goodbye to South Dakota, we finally hit the highway again and started across Wyoming. Today is the first time in quite a while that we were able to get some distance behind us. We’re hoping for more of the same tomorrow. Here’s the route log:
